About the Project

AMDCG (Advanced Materials Development and Characterization Group) is an active research collective at the Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai specializing in development of novel materials for strategic applications in space, defense, and biomedical sectors.

The group required a professional, fully responsive research website that could serve as a central hub for publications, project descriptions, team information, research updates, and academic outreach. Additionally, AMDCG needed a custom admin panel to easily manage research content, publications, facilities, news, and team profiles - empowering researchers to keep the site continuously updated without developer support.

The end solution not only presented AMDCG’s work with clarity and credibility, but it also provided a scalable content management system (CMS) tailored to academic research workflows.

Web Design

We crafted a clean, research-centric design that enhances readability and organization across all devices. A structured content hierarchy and intuitive UI allowed visitors to explore complex scientific work, facilities, and publications with ease. Attention was paid to typographic clarity, visual balance, and academic tone, ensuring the presentation matched the high-impact nature of the group’s research.

Full-Stack Development & Custom Admin Panel

The website was built using a modern full-stack architecture that prioritizes performance and maintainability. A custom admin panel was developed to empower the AMDCG team with - Easy publication uploads, Research project management, Team and member profile editing, Facility and news updates. This admin interface eliminates dependency on developers for content updates, accelerating the group’s ability to publish findings and keep their audience engaged.

Responsive & Accessible Experience

Every component was engineered to work seamlessly on desktop, tablet, and mobile. Accessibility considerations ensured that scientific content, charts, and academic resources remain readable and navigable for a global research audience. Search engine visibility was optimized with semantic HTML, meta optimization, and performance enhancements — making the platform both user- and search-friendly.

SEO & Performance Optimization

To extend AMDCG’s digital reach, we implemented SEO best practices and performance optimization techniques. Structured metadata, optimized loading strategies, and clean code architecture helped improve crawlability and overall site performance. The result is a visually polished, fast-loading site that represents the group professionally while delivering measurable value to its students, collaborators, and research community.

Logo Design

For AMDCG, we designed a clean and intellectually grounded logo identity that reflects precision, innovation, and scientific advancement. The mark was crafted to subtly represent material science, structural integrity, and research depth through geometric balance and refined typography. Designed in scalable vector format, the identity adapts seamlessly across digital platforms, research publications, laboratory presentations, and institutional documentation. The final logo establishes AMDCG as a modern, credible, and future-focused research group while maintaining the academic seriousness expected from a high-impact scientific institution.

Google Analytics Integration

To help AMDCG understand and expand its digital reach, we integrated Google Analytics across the website to monitor visitor behavior and engagement patterns. This allows the research group to track how users explore publications, research projects, team profiles, and facilities. By analyzing metrics such as page views, traffic sources, and user navigation paths, the team gains clear insights into which research areas attract the most attention and where improvements can be made. The integration ensures that AMDCG’s online presence is not only informative and professional - but also measurable and continuously optimizable for greater academic visibility.
